Once restrictions are lifted, both in-person classes and on-site activities will be reinstated.

Take charge of your education with Online Catawba K-12 Virtual Academy

Whether you live in Catawba County or beyond, you can access more than 40 courses with us, from Algebra to AP Art History and everything in between. Public, private, and homeschool students from 5th through 12th grade use our courses to succeed on their own time and schedules. Our students need flexibility, an additional challenge, or may simply perform better outside of a traditional classroom.

Why Choose Online Catawba?

Throughout the learning experience, students receive support from local certified teachers who provide one-on-one instruction.

Our program offers the flexibility of learning at a student’s own pace, while still having the same access to local teachers, technology, arts, athletics, and other extracurricular activities as traditional Catawba County Schools students.

Online Catawba offers a variety of flexible and full-time options - all for FREE if you're a resident of Catawba County. Our students can choose to take all of their courses online, a hybrid model where some courses are taken online and some are taken in-person at school, or even take extra courses while at school.

Recorded Live Information Session

I love how Online Catawba gave my son the flexibility to work on his own time and schedule so he could get ahead in some classes, stay on target in another, and even get back on track when he needed to!
